Petris Technology, Inc. announced today the release of PetrisWINDS DrillNET 2.0, Petris' renowned integrated drilling engineering software suite.
 
HOUSTON, TX, August 16, 2012 - Petris Technology, Inc. (www.Petris.com), a leading supplier of practical data management solutions and geosciences applications to the global energy industry, announced today the release of PetrisWINDS™ DrillNET 2.0, Petris' renowned integrated drilling engineering software suite.
 
This release of DrillNET is the culmination of over two years of development, resulting in numerous improvements to the technology including improved workflows, and enhanced usability.
 
With DrillNET's new user interface and underlying framework improvements, the most noticeable transformation is the greatly improved user experience. Users can now perform new and better workflows. The new user interface allows input and output screens to be displayed simultaneously. The screens can be undocked for optimum use of screen real estate, allowing users greater flexibility in their analysis and workflows. Data objects have been added to more thoroughly describe fields, platforms, and wells and; geodetic information has been strengthened to allow the user to specify the geographic coordinate system (e.g. WGS 1984). Whether located on the local machine or a central network, Microsoft's SQL Server is now the standard database, improving product robustness and reporting. In addition, there have been numerous enhancements to the drilling engineering applications.
