New features and enhancements to version 10.0 include:

  • PetrisWINDS DataVera 10.0Interactive Web Dashboard
    Display data quality and master data throughout your organization with embeddable charts.
    DataVera 10.0 offers an interactive web dashboard, providing access to DataVera HealthCheck and MasterSet data and results from any workstation or mobile device. At the highest level of summary, the interactive web dashboard allows data quality trends to be compared across systems and data partitions. Delving deeper into the details of the quality issues identified for a data source, users can see trends over time, current issue severity, a breakdown for each business requirement, and the data (such as wells) with issues mapped out for viewing by region.  Additionally, the charts, tables, and maps shown on the dashboard can easily be embedded into your corporate portal or wiki, ensuring visibility of your data governance initiatives to users on your corporate intranet.


  • Project Export and Import
    Greatly improved manageability for administrators with multiple DataVera environments.
    DataVera 10.0 offers the ability for administrators to export and import entire DataVera projects, allowing them to easily transfer complex configurations between installations. By exporting a project, DataVera writes all the rules, jobs, and other configurations to a ZIP file that can be used for backup and for import into another DataVera install.


  • File Loader Wizard
    Configure nightly import of spreadsheet data via a web-based wizard.
    DataVera 10.0 includes a simple and easy-to-use File Loader Wizard. Using the DataVera engine without needing to be run from the DataVera Client, the File Loader can be configured to set up and run data migrations from a Microsoft Excel or delimiter-separated text file into a relational database. These File Loader jobs can then be scheduled, allowing new files to be dropped into a target folder and loaded into the database automatically.


  • Annotate Profiled Source Records
    Store a data quality indicator on each row of profiled data, allowing easy custom reporting.
    HealthCheck has been enhanced in DataVera 10.0 to allow for a quality summary indicator to be written directly to the data source tables. This functionality allows efficient queries to be written to return source records with high priority issues. Annotating the source database (or a derived copy) allows many different reporting options that can be configured using SQL.


  • Enhanced Web Services API
    Integrate business workflow engines with DataVera functionality.
    DataVera 10.0 includes additional Web Services, allowing applications to access DataVera tasks such as job scheduling and data validation. This enhanced API functionality enables the use of DataVera in various data management workflows within your organization.


  • Improved Master Data Workflows
    Match and master difficult data more efficiently than ever.
    Finding matches in your data is an integral part to configuring an MDM solution. Knowing this, DataVera 10.0 has numerous improvements to allow users to quickly identify and group together matched data. Building upon its system of using automated rules to find similar data, Master Registry now allows users to manually scan and group information that is known to match based on the user’s domain expertise.


  • New User Roles
    Deploy DataVera to users based on their role in your DataVera Governance initiative.
    DataVera 10.0 has added new user roles, allowing administrative users to restrict or grant access to specific users, making them either a Data Custodian or a Data Steward. A Data Custodian is responsible for job configuration and setup within a project, while a Data Steward deals with data governance, such as running pre-configured jobs and confirming data matches.
