PetrisWINDS Recall SPATIAL Data Visualization

Spatial Cross-sectionPetrisWINDS Recall SPATIAL is a plotting system for borehole, well location and well trajectory data. It features: multi-well correlation sections, to datum, with fault cut-out, repeat sections and tie-lines; a comprehensive shading and symbol library; reference to MD, TVD, TVT, TST or Time; full dipmeter, image and waveform support; Spider and Section plot generation with conventional data plotted along trajectory, and all standard UTM conversions.

Depth Plot brings together diverse data and illustrates the relationships between them. Any combination of the following can be plotted.

  • Multi-well correlation sections, to datum, with tie lines, shading and annotation
  • Fault cut-out and repeat sections; fault and unconformity symbols
  • Plot reduction and / or annotation by Time, TVD, TVT, TST as well as MD
  • Different tracks at different scales with tie lines / shading to indicate relationships
  • Template facility, including option to suppress tracks with missing data, and convenient handling of curve "families"
  • Support for zonation hierarchies
  • Incorporation of data from other applications, e.g. cross-plot, image display
  • Creation of standard well log displays, lithology columns, core logs, completion plots
  • Customizable sedimentological / palaeontological / lithological / engineering / completion / other symbols and patterns
  • Spatial Hole ShapeDepth-based image plots for electrical / acoustic imaging tools (with color-coded dip trace overlays),core photos, ordinary curve data and seismic sections as images
  • Dip interpretation (tadpole) plots, annotated and color-coded
  • Dip summary information e.g. azimuth/strike histograms, polar plots, fully annotated and color coded
  • Waveform plots to specified datum and with height control, accommodating (color-coded) multiple receiver data
  • Spot depth image (photograph) data e.g. SEMs, thin sections, etc.
  • Borehole profile from calibrated travel time data, or 4 or 6 arm caliper tools (or dipmeters)
  • 3D perspective hole shape plots with optional shading/color mapping
  • Stress analysis diagrams showing rock failure criteria for all possible hole directions
  • Tabular Reports, e.g. for data such as dips at irregular depths

Spatial Well TrajectoryTrajectory Plotting In Depth Plot presents spatial relationships between wells, formations, summary dip and curve data.

  • Projection onto horizontal plane or specified vertical line of section
  • Along-trajectory plotting of curves and shading in multiple tracks with grids
  • Color-coded dip markers on both Spider and Section plots to show apparent dips of beds/faults/fracture swarms etc.
  • Marking of zones or formation tops, optionally shaded and with dip-controlled zone boundaries
  • Multi-well along-trajectory plotting on UTM or other reference
  • Time-based trajectory displays & time-deviated dip sticks along trajectory (on section plots)
  • Projection perpendicular or along strike (optionally controlled by zone) for section plots
  • Combining of conventional & trajectory plots, to common datum & with tie lines between them

Slick Plot is a plotting solution that can create sophisticated single well plots conveniently, but without the multi-well, multi-section complexities of Depth Plot. The screens are designed to allow the user to select the data and create a plot with minimal changes from the default settings. Slick Plot is ideal for 'standard' composite plotting.
