TRIAX – Triaxial Stress Analysis Model

Today’s common three-dimensional well designs complicate the design of optimum tubular strings. Maurer by Petris's TRIAX evaluates casing and tubing strings for all wells, based on optimum safety. The program calculates actual tubing loading due to input design and/or operating conditions. Data can be imported from Maurer's torque & drag model and hydraulics model to examine equivalent stresses and pressure limits anywhere in the string.

Advanced Engineering Features

  • Casing and tubing string strengths compared to API
  • Provides a complete analysis of tubular strength
  • Models burst and collapse including uniaxial, biaxial, and triaxial analysis
  • Triaxial and biaxial sensitivity analysis for a given depth
  • Management of data files is very simple

Cost Saving

  • Helps develop safe designs of casing and tubular strings
  • Enhances operational efficiency

Easy to Use

  • Step-by-step problem solving approach
  • Can link to databases such as DIMS
  • Can create MS Office reports
  • Advanced graphics can be exported to any Windows program
  • S.I., Oilfield and mixed units

Data input is very straightforward.  A database of tubular properties is provided.

TRIAX quickly compares stresses to API design limits.

The Sensitivity utility performs an analysis of sensitivity of stresses to changes in various parameters.
