Version 4 is Available!!
WELLCON is Maurer by Petris’s well-control program developed to assist drilling personnel to better control gas kicks. The program simulates gas kick-in and circulation processes for water- and oil-base drilling fluids. The program calculates kill-mud weight, the drill-pipe pressure schedule, and the kill sheet. It predicts pressure changes and equivalent circulating densities (ECDs) at a variety of locations in the well. Maximum ECD along the wellbore is also calculated and compared with pore- and fracture-pressure gradients. The new Kill Sheet utility calculates all kill information and prepares a drill-pipe pressure schedule.
