PetrisWINDS Recall 5

Petris is pleased to announce PetrisWINDS Recall5, the new release of the PetrisWINDS Recall borehole database and processing suite.

PetrisWINDS Recall5 includes significant upgrades to the entire PetrisWINDS Recall system. There are enhancements to SUPERVIEW, new applications, new drivers, new servers and, most of all, PetrisWINDS Recall for Windows.

PetrisWINDS Recall for Windows is a complete port of PetrisWINDS Recall for the Microsoft Windows™ platform. This can greatly simplify and streamline the user’s data flow and work processes. Project work on a laptop can be effortlessly integrated with company corporate databases. Shared data can be processed on Windows or Unix, the work flow captured and the results published to either platform.

With full database functionality and the entire current PetrisWINDS Recall application suite, PetrisWINDS Recall for Windows offers desktop and laptop users a complete implementation of the PetrisWINDS Recall software system.

PetrisWINDS Recall database connectivity has been dramatically enhanced with the release of the ODBC driver. This driver allows seamless integration with Oracle databases and also with standard desktop productivity software such as Access and Excel.

New SUPERVIEW applications include a curve value editor and an interactive database attribute editor. Meanwhile, JobEdit has been greatly improved with the addition of a tree view of the job structure.

Enhancements to LOGSCAPE now make it one of the leading graphical applications in the industry. A toolbox of data manipulation and calculation functions can be used to build powerful interactive applications. Interpretation programs built with LOGSCAPE include interactive petrophysics, data editing, pore pressure analysis, and dip analysis. The level of interactivity in LOGSCAPE redefines the term "sensitivity analysis". Using a mouse, users can clearly grasp how results vary with changes to parameter values and zonations. The software provides an ideal training tool as well as a powerful and flexible application builder.

The SPATIAL plotting system has been extended to provide plotting along the well trajectory. Using the multiple independent panels, a SPATIAL plot can show borehole data from a variety of viewpoints.

New borehole imaging tools can now be processed, including the APLS and EARTH Imager services.

With the Windows port, the web interface and a host of enhancements and developments, PetrisWINDS Recall5 has built on the tried and tested PetrisWINDS Recall platform to provide a system with new degrees of flexibility and power.
