Petris Announces Strategic Partnership with UnRiskITŪ
Petris is now an OEM reseller of a new risk
management software solution, UnRiskITŪ.
Petris plans to integrate UnRiskITŪ with the
AFE component of PetrisWINDS Operations
Center as well as with DrillNET. Petris also
plans to sell the solution standalone. These
solutions, when integrated, will enhance the
customer's ability to reliably and
efficiently plan for and minimize risk using
UnRiskITŪ's built-in logic. By identifying
and ranking the biggest risk factors in the
planning stage and developing a Risk
Management Plan, customers will be able to
formulate effective plans to mitigate and
address the impact of risk on the project.

Profile: Craig Shields
Every issue, PetrisNEWS features an
individual within the company. This issue
features Craig Shields who is in Business
Development.
Name: Craig Shields
Hometown: I come from a military
background so it's difficult to call one
place home - though if I had to choose, I'd
say Lincolnshire in England.
What I do at Petris: I focus on
relationship management and development -
trying to position Petris as the vendor of
choice for data management and information
management.
Tenure at Petris: I've been with
Petris for 2 years.
Education: I attended London
University where I studied Geology.
Childhood ambition: Growing up, I
wanted to be an airline pilot.
My first job was: Doing market research
for a research firm based in London. From
there, I joined CDC Datacenter where I
learned computer programming.
Proudest Moment: I consider every
positive step forward a part of this - it's
hard to pinpoint one crowning moment. I think you
should be proud of every day.
Biggest Challenge Physically, the
first step out of a helicopter to go
heli-skiing in Canada. My philosophy is to
never give up and always keep moving forward.
Indulgence: I love food and wine -
i'll eat
anything, though I won't say I'll drink
anything. Exploring new foods and new tastes
is my passion.
Inspiration: I am most inspired by
Ernest Shackleton for demonstrating
incredible common sense, putting the safety
of his men above political ambitions. During
his voyage to the South Pole, he and his men
were stranded for a year during the arctic
winter, yet he managed to not lose a single
life and led his crew to their ultimate
rescue. To me, that is the stuff heroes are
made of.
