Pumpjacks in oil field Mature Field Optimization Model

Petris is doing some interesting work around the subject of mature field optimization. Specifically, Petris has developed a data model and a data management system that first collects all available information on an ageing asset. By leveraging the existing databases and visualizing a number of key performance indicators, the model is able to provide a global picture of the asset's vulnerabilities as part of the overall risk assessment. Treemap dashboards allow for quick and powerful representation of risk with various performance criteria.

This model is designed to optimize the remaining production of the asset with two angles:

    • quantify the impact of a system failure
    • simulate an investment plan using "what if" scenarios with a base case

Petris is working with a major international oil company on this project.
