Editor's Corner -- The second quarter
of 2007 has been a lively one for Petris with
our newest acquisition--our third in two
years. We also just wrapped up our busy
Spring trade show season just in time to
hunker down and prepare for an equally busy
Fall season.

Petris Acquires Software Assets from Production Access
On June 29, 2007 Petris acquired the software
and support assets of Production Access, Inc.
Under the agreement, Petris assumes worldwide
responsibility for the development, sales,
service, and future development of the
Production Access software.

Congratulations to David Archer
David Archer, Vice President of Petris, has
been recognized by the Board
of Directors of the Society of Petroleum
Engineers as the recipient of the 2007 SPE
Management and Information award. This is in
recognition of David's long and outstanding
contribution to the advancement of management
and information in the oil and gas industry.
The award will be given to him at the
upcoming annual meeting of the SPE in
Anaheim, California.

Introducing our Newest Vice President: Simon Brock-Gunn
Petris is excited to announce that Simon
Brock-Gunn has been promoted to Vice
President for Customer Support, Education and
Quality Assurance. His focus is on
ensuring that Petris customers receive
quality products and services, and the
resources to use them most effectively.
A mathematician and computer scientist by
training, Simon's experience in software
development covers more than a decade in the
oil and gas industry, together with earlier
work in the pharmaceuticals and defense
industries.

Petris Training
Petris continues to offer a complete suite of
training services for all of its products and
solutions including the recently acquired
Operations Center.
Upcoming courses cover Recall,
PetrisWINDS Enterprise, DrillNET and Dashboard
and are offered in our London and Houston
locations.

Upcoming Petris Users Group Meetings
Two great meetings are planned this year: the
first
will be held in London September 5-6 with the
Houston meeting the following month: October
9-11. If you are interested
in attending, please contact your account
manager for an invitation and more details.
This year, the Houston meeting has been
expanded to include our new customers from
Production Access, as well as the usual
contingent of Petris users. Come on out and
meet the newest members of the Petris community.

Introducing the Petris Ping Pong Champs
Last month, Petris held an office-wide Ping
Pong tournament in Houston with players from
every department facing off against one
another. The competition was fierce, but, in
the end, only one player emerged victorious
from each bracket.
Congratulations to Jay Fu and Jing Li--the
winners of the advanced and beginner
brackets, respectively.
