Petris was recognized as being one of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in Houston. In the annual survey conducted by The Houston Business Journal, Petris was ranked 32nd based on a 65.9% increase in annual revenue in 2006. Of more significance, Petris was ranked in the top ten for both 2006 revenue and for sales growth as measured in absolute dollars.

The Fast Tech 50 Awards were presented to the 50 local high-tech businesses that experienced the greatest percentage of revenue growth in 2006. To qualify, companies must be headquartered in Houston and 51 percent of the company's consolidated net revenues must be involved in the original manufacture, design, or development of technology products or services.

Image of Rig Count Petris Develops Interactive Rig Count Maps

Petris is excited about the work we just completed for Baker Hughes on a new Rig Count System. Hughes Christensen hired Petris to develop a web-based geospatial web portal that could display all active rigs on a map.

The new Rig Count System displays on a map data that was previously only reported via spreadsheets. Rig Count is used by investors to help them determine investment strategies and by oil companies to help identify activity in various geographic locations.

    Stack of Magazines Petris Publications

Petris recently published an article in October's issue of Upstream Technology. The article, entitled "Creating a Dynamic, 'Standards Neutral' Environment," addresses problems caused by disparate data sources and non-standard data representation and highlights the role that Petris' Dynamic Common Model can play in helping to solve these problems.

Cardboard Boxes Stacked New Floor, Same Faces

You may see some unfamiliar faces sitting in once-familiar offices the next time you're at Petris. Fear not though, those that used to occupy those offices haven't gone far.

Petris has grown considerably over the last few years and as a result we began to run out of office space for everyone. We have built new office space on the second floor of our building in order to accommodate everyone.

Things at Petris are starting to look normal again now that the disarray from moving is over, albeit learning where everyone is will take some time.
